I understood it from the sudden closing of my computer and thought of cpu heat and when I opened chasis I realized it. my apologize to luke sorry if that came out a bit harsh, i've been quite frustrated recently about all the problems this computers been having considering it's only been 6 months Still think that you should replace the cooler . grab a CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ Evo. I have 4 or 5 fans like that laying around and I'm sure each of my 3 sons friends has a couple at their house. I've not heard of coolers where the fans stop (other than in PSUs) but the motherboard my have logic which stops the fan spinning at all below certain temps. you can only know if you try it on the psu itself. Everything seems to be fine.
