Excellent solution to a problem which I thought was due to broken drive. Simply rubbing the inside of it with an eye glasses cloth wrapped around a bank card did the trick! I also fitted a new drive into my friend's MacBook, which took a lot longer and was a little more precarious, but job's done nonetheless. I had been trying all kind of solutions w/o success before reading your post and works.Thanks a lot and best regards.
