I just got my organization to upgrade to the Q2 controls, and now it works like a charm! When client side script is enabled: Validation happens for text is when leaving focus (client side, CANNOT be disabled by causesvalidation) or autopostback happens (server side, CAN be disabled by causesvalidation); I am using AJAX method here.
