I want the Celexa to work the way it did because I don't want to be a lab rat again like I was for decades. It helps a lot just hearing about others who have taken Citalopram. Has anyone noticed a decrease in effectivness of Celexa after a year? Check This Out That makes no sense.

In the past few months, I have noticed a severe worsenning of depression.
What's taking so long? People have vastly different responses to medication. Most GPs are not really comfortable with managing this situation; once you're not adequately treated with a maxed out SSRI it's time to see someone with more specialized experience. Dont worry, your doctor is more informed and can allay any fears or questions you might have about starting another medication! why has it stopped working when I need it to ? I switched from Celexa to Zoloft because of the new-at-the-time FDA warnings about high doses - I was on 80mg/day of Celexa.
I've not dared to even consider this because I regard it as my prop but I do suffer from sleepiness in the daytime and I'm a lot younger than your wife. Started on 20mg, then 40mg and after quite a while upped it to 60mg, so yes, i did notice it becoming less effective over time. I can live with it but I don't like that it happened to me. Be patient, but not passive, when managing your depression, experts tell WebMD.
