Run cap visually looks great no bulges. There is no way for the outdoor unit to put smells into the home. I question every step for a possible alternate interpretation. Our central A.C.

I decided to go into the house and turn the thermostat back on to run more testing, and low and behold, the unit kicked on and is now cooling the house. It was nice to have a trained tech look at the unit to insure nothing else was wrong, but $400 was a bit much in my opinion. Ac Fan Capacitor i bought a new blower motor and a new capacitor twice since i returned the first one thinking it was damaged. The AC unit does have a Heat Pump but it was 86 degrees and the ac unit is in the direct sunlight. The A coil isn't dirty or clogged. Finally a senior tech came out and recognized that the fan required a different capacitor than what was initially changed in. If power is getting to the fan motor, but the motor won’t run, this also indicates that the motor is defective and should be replaced.
